Air Rifle Safety and Marksmanship Summer Camp will be held on 20, 21 & 22 July 2010. The camp will run from 8:00AM to 12:00PM each day. The camp is open to all Snohomish School District middle school students and is limited to the first 32 to register.

The camp will be run by Captain Will Lennon, Senior Marine Instructor of the MCJROTC Program. Captain Lennon is a Junior Marksmanship Certified Instructor through the Civilian Markmanship Program.

Participants will be taught safe rifle handling skills and basic rifle marksmanship. The location is the Panther Union Building (PUB), which is the small red building across the street from Snohomish High School.

There is a $20 fee to attend the camp. Download the registration/consent form here. Fill out the form and mail with payment to:

The registriation deadline is 12 July 2010. Confirmation of registration will be done by phone and email on 13 July 2010. Reminder there are only 32 spots so register early.

Air Rifle Team

The purpose of the marksmanship program is to teach rifle safety and marksmanship. Every cadet will get the opportunity to practice firing and ulitmately qualify. Additionally, those that choose to can compete on the Air Rifle Team. The Snohomish MCJROTC Air Rifle Team meets every Tuesday and Thursday at 2:30PM at Snohomish High School. The team competes against other JROTC Programs thorughout the Northwest. This year's conference competition schedule is below.

12 December 2009 - Arlington High School

16 January 2010 - Marysville/Everett

20 March 2010 - Todd Beamer High School
