The Cookie Dough sales were a success. We reached our goal for this fundraiser. Great job Cadets! 6th Period sold the most and will have an ice cream party soon.

We will receive 70% of dollar amount we auction off. Donations could be gift certificates, gift/theme baskets, sports tickets, and professional services. Procurement forms for your tax records are available. The auction will be at the Everett Golf and Country Club on 30 January 2010, attend if you can. Thank you to all that have supported the Snohomish MCJROTC Program. Through your efforts, both verbally and financially, the Snohomish School District has decided to keep our program.

However, we have 20 students that come to Snohomish High School from Monroe School District (MSD) to participate in the program. This past summer the MSD voted to end the JROTC program. This relationship has existed for over 30 years, but due to budgetary issues the MSD felt it was necessary to end the program. We are not ready to do that. For this academic year, MSD has agreed to continue the program, but cannot pay for it. So, we are in the midst of a fundraising campaign to keep this relationship going. Currently the cost of the program is $30,000 for an academic year. We have raised about 1/3 of the cost and have until June 2010 to raise the remaining balance. Donations can be sent to the below address. Ideas for fundraising can be forwarded to Captain Will Lennon at william.lennon@sno.wednet.edu. Again, thank you for your support and Semper Fidelis.
